At 5:34 AM, Henry Henderson starts his day with a brisk jog around Eden Academy. After finishing his run, he heads to Cecile Hall dormitory for a quick shower. Post-shower, he dresses in his formal attire and starts brewing a pot of tea. The dormitory tutor pops in, and they exchange morning greetings. Henry extends a friendly invitation for a cup of tea, which the tutor gladly accepts.

With the kettle full of hot water, they prepare their tea blends and pour the steaming liquid into their cups. Conversation turns to Henry’s experience handling the primary school kids as the tutor inquires about their well-being. Henry assures him they’re doing fine and share a brief chuckle over past events, like the day he had to give Anya Forger a Tonitrus Bolt. He modestly downplays the incident, stating it was merely a necessary action and reinforcing the value of good behavior. The tutor admires Henry’s wisdom, while Henry remarks on the students’ progress in learning true elegance, which keeps school traditions alive.

In the common room of the dormitory, Damian gazes at a group photo from orientation where he stands alone. Ewen and Emile arrive, clutching a photo album, excited to share their findings. They show Damian a photo of his older brother, admiring his achievements and Imperial Scholar status, while Damian’s expression remains melancholic. Ewen and Emile offer words of encouragement, suggesting Damian will excel and possibly earn a Stella Star. Their first opportunity for this is in the upcoming Physical Education class, featuring a dodgeball tournament that could grant the MVP a Stella.

At 7:58 AM, Henry dives into a book on Eden’s history while enjoying music on his phonograph. He finishes his reading and glances out the window, poised for another day of elegance at Eden Academy. But the tranquility is interrupted as Damian Desmond, Emile Elman, and Ewen Egeburg bicker with Anya Forger and Becky Blackbell. Disappointment flickers across Henry’s face as he steps in to handle the situation early in the day.

Anya returns home, sharing a rumor with Loid, relayed by Becky, that she has a chance to win a Stella Star in the upcoming Physical Education class. Loid remains skeptical, but determined to support Anya’s goals, he, Yor, and Anya embark on rigorous dodgeball training. Yor takes the role of instructor, pushing Anya to her limits and imparting a “killer move.”

The day of the dodgeball match arrives, pitting Cecile Hall against Wald Hall. Henry Henderson, standing in for the ailing Coach Bobby, announces that he will oversee the match.

Damian throws the first ball of the game, targeting Bill Watkins, a muscular Wald Hall student. Bill catches it effortlessly, setting the tone for the game. Bill showcases his dominance, eliminating four members of Cecile’s team. He’s confident in his victory, reminiscing about his father’s pep talk. Becky attempts to challenge him, but ends up being eliminated as well. Damian, Ewen, and Emile unite to tackle Bill, but their efforts fall short, leaving Damian, Anya, and another student from Cecile Hall.

As Damian plots his strategy for survival and MVP status, Bill singles out Anya as his next target. He throws a low ball, but Anya, reading his mind, leaps to avoid it. He launches three more shots, all of which miss, and the last one hits an anonymous student. Damian commends Anya’s dodging skills, while she slowly edges closer to the out-of-bounds area. Becky realizes this and warns Anya to watch out for people out of bounds. Anya tries to step back but stumbles and falls.

Bill sees his chance and throws the ball at Anya, shouting, “Die!” Damian, unable to stand aside, tries to catch the ball but misses it, leading to his elimination. Damian realizes that his chances of earning MVP are now slim.

Anya vows to avenge Damian and, recalling Yor’s training, attempts her “killer move” against Bill. However, her attempt goes awry, causing the ball to bounce off the ground and back toward Bill. He quickly seizes it, securing his team’s victory. Bill’s team celebrates, believing a Stella Star awaits. However, Henry clarifies that Stella Stars are not awarded for regular Physical Education. Nevertheless, he decides to give Bill a Tonitrus Bolt for his inappropriate choice of words—shouting “Die!”

Henry couldn’t help but consider awarding Stella Stars but, due to that comment, he changed his mind, asserting that uttering such words was worthy of a Tonitrus Bolt.
